Hi,

When trying to import files MyPhotoIndex ignores any .tif files but if I then rename them to .tiff it then imports them.

I have tried 5 different applications and found that they all save as .tif by default. Is it possible to import .tif files?

Related to this I found some older applications would not recognise TIFF files generated by newer applications but both  MyPhotoIndex and Windows Picture and Fax Viewer successfully processed them all - has the TIFF standard changed?

Hi,

Please try to do the following:

in the providers directory (C:\Program Files\MyPhotoIndex\My Photo Index\providers) there is a file named MyPhotoIndex.Plugins.ImageFormatProviders.config please open it with a text editor (can be notepad)

and duplicate the the 5Th line under <ImageFormatProviders> which says <provider extention="Tiff", then on your

dulipcated line cahnge <provider extention="Tiff" to <provider extention="Tif" now, save the file and start the application

Please tell me if this helps so I can include this in the next version.

Asaf.

Hi,

I have made the adjustment and tested it out with mixtures of tif, tiff, and jpg files and it imports them all successfully.

Thanks for your help.

Bill
