I created a second database with a unique name and stored it in a folder in My documents. The purpose of this database was to scan previously burned dvd jpg images.
The import selection proceeded but several images were not imported.

The common element in the images that were not imported from the DVD is that in the processing previously the software Imagemagik/mogrify plug in for Lightroom was used.
Perhaps there was some oddity during the past year with that Imagemagik/mogrify plug in because any of the jpgs imported from the hard drive were all processed using the current Mogrify plug in in Lightroom 2.4
Now that I have created a second database when I go back and open the original that is stored in Local Applications the original does not pick up the list of possible keyword entries when using the right click menu (ADD) on a thumbnail. Only the list from the new database is there.
If a user is going to open a choice of databases wouldn't it be more efficient to store them as a user preference? (vs. hunting down the original stored in the Administrator/Local Applications/PIfolder/etc.
OR perhaps I was in error to think dvd storage would be better in its own catalog?
