1. The simplest way to add an image to the selected pane is by dragging it from the main image view and dropping it onto the selected images pane, this can be applied for single images as well as for multiple images.

2. Adding images to the selected images pane is also available from the Full screen view mode(F11), images that have their check-box checked will be added to the selected images pane.
